• I have many journals that sit on the shelf at home. They chronicle many aspects of my life. I love to look through them, enjoying the things I have written or the pictures there in. It is my hope that as you look through these pages, that you too will enjoy the things placed so lovingly here.
It has been a journey that has seen me through many joys and a few heartaches. From the start of Crimson Chickadee and my growth as a person and as a photographer. From the realization that how many fans I have on my facebook page does not merit my worth, to the swelling in my heart as I hit publish to a post that I know will mean so much to the intended recipient.
I hope you join me often, with a good cup of coffee, and enjoy these pages as much as I do creating them.

The W Family | Mannville Family Photographer

Okay I’ll admit it…I like it inside when the air is chilly. Yes, I am a wimp. After a day of being outside shooting I was anxious to round up all my props, light a fire and cozy up for an evening of relaxation. I do however, have this crazy obsession with backing up my files as soon as I shoot them, so while my fire was  warming the air in the other room I settled in my office to load and backup all of my files from the day. As I was waiting I started browsing through the W family’s images. Up popped a screen to tell me my download had finished…I quickly dismissed it. I was so in love with the images I was looking at I was giddy. (any of my clients can verify that I do in fact let out a little excited EEK! when I like an image I see on the back of my camera!)

Momma W I wish I could show you more but unfortunately I can’t…so here are your sneak peeks…ones that as a mother tug at my heart strings. Enjoy!

Ladies Man

Little girls the world over never need to worry about having a pony to love…and to have him love them back.

He is here…

right in my pasture…

and he loves little girls…even ones that aren’t his person. (although Dolly will tell you differently!)

His heart is pure. He always has a hug for any little princess who ventures out to love him.

Beautiful Family | Lloydminster Family Photographer

Some sessions are a pile of laughs…and this one was one of them. Little miss was so cute! I just wanted to smooch her lil cheeks…and I wouldn’t have minded at all if mom and dad would have left her here…but she clearly was the apple of their eye, I don’t think any amount of convincing would have had them driving away with an empty vehicle!
Thanks to all three of you for coming out on such a chilly day!

Boys will be boys | Wainwright Child Photography

I must say that these two brothers were a pair of silly boys. I chuckled many times as they made the best smiling faces at me. They had some really good ones…and they even got their little sister to join in the fun too! It was fun to laugh and giggle with them. Children are such honest little people…and spending time being silly with them really makes me forget some of the adult stuff and see the joy and the beauty in life. It is sometimes so easy to forget to stop and enjoy the moment….something we should all do much more often.

It’s that time

After we got Raceboy82 on the bus Dolly and I spent the morning together, taking our time getting ready for the big day ahead.
It was the kind of day today that mom’s all over the world talk about…the day your baby goes to school.
It was very important to Dolly…she wanted her hair curled and she wanted hearts on her nails. She told me she was going to tell all the kids they were pretty and ask if they wanted to be her friend. She also started getting really sad, not wanting mom to leave her when she got to the school.
That all changed as we walked up the stairs to her classroom. She didn’t even notice when I snuck out the door.
As I sat in the car taking a moment to myself I thought how just over four years ago I thought this day was a distant thing. It is no longer a thought in my head but a reality.
How fast the time has gone…
