As promised here is the second half of Miss M’s session.

Sometimes as photographers we get inspiration from other photographers. When we do I think it is important to give credit where credit is due. Last year at this time Richard and Amy did a shoot that I just loved. I took my inspiration from them for these pictures. Enjoy!

Dolly’s Pancakes

Dolly is such a girly girl…something I try to be but I would rather wear my hair in a ponytail, have on a comfortable pair of jeans and an over sized hoody. She loves pink and purple, is always in my make-up, and could wear a princess dress all day. She enjoys cooking already…and is the first in the kitchen when it is time to get meals ready.

She is also terribly smitten with her brothers. She adores them. This morning when raceboy82 asked for breakfast she piped up that she wanted to make. It is a good thing the boys adore hear equally as much. You know that commercial where the big burly men are wearing boas and princess crowns and having tea and popcorn with the little girl?? Well that was us this morning with Dolly’s pancakes. I promised the boys I would not embarrass them…but here is Dolly and her pink and purple pancake party.

Setting her table, everything is pink and purple. Even her juice!

Her chocolate chip cupcake pancakes…they are soooo good and the kids love them!

Waiting for her “guests” to arrive. She sure has crazy hair going on here!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. It sure is beautiful outside. I think we will go for a drive and get an ice cream cone later today.

It was an adventurous day for Miss M and I. We had many good laughs…mostly at ourselves. The sun felt so good and the snow was melting like crazy. If it was April I would say spring was here but it seems like we always get a cold snap at the end of March…I think I will keep a watch on the forecast for a while.

This session is the last Grad rep session that Miss M will have with us before her own graduation. We have enjoyed having her working with us and will be sad to see her go. Here is the first set of images from yesterday.

Don’t forget if you are graduating in 2011 you still have a week or two to apply to be our rep for next year.

I had a real tough time doing my job today. For the only reason that all I wanted to do was snuggle and cuddle with the baby I had gone to see. I kissed him lots and talked to him in that funny baby voice people get. I examined his fingers and toes…so much that I never took a single picture of them! I found him to be the most perfect baby. I adore him. He is awesome. He is my nephew! Here are my two favorites from today…just a quick peek so you can all see why I swoon over him so.

And this one is just for fun!

It’s Here!

March…I can’t believe it is FINALLY here! I have been waiting since before the snow flew for the month of March. It is going to be full of so many good and wonderful things. The biggest of those was to be the arrival of my first nephew but he has already graced us all with his awesome presence. I am actually off to Edmonton today to do his newborn images. I can’t wait to post them and share him with you all. Unless of course you are a friend of mine on FB you have already seen the pictures from the hospital;) Next to that is my movie list. Alice in Wonderland comes out just in time for my birthday and New Moon comes out on video at the end of the month. But the biggest and best part of the month happens the last week. I will share more about that at a later date.

March also brings the last month of winter here. I am so excited for spring. I think mother nature has been teasing us just a little bit. The warm sunshine feels so good. Dolly and I went out to enjoy it today. She wanted to play dress up…we used some of her Alice in Wonderland clothes and went on an adventure.

I always post the good shots…but today I think I will show you a little of both. Just because I enjoy Dolly’s personality soooooo very much. She cracks me up!

This one is her protest to the bright sun. She told me it was disgusting…

Here is her deep in thought look. We get that a lot around here.

…and this one…well this is how she is describing the horse who is doing his business to the camera left. I never knew it so traumatic for a horse to poo.

These are the ones that I will put in her scrapbook. I wonder what her children will think of the photos from her childhood. Perhaps they will think their grandma was off her rocker before she hit old age! LOL

Life can go by so quickly. The moments that we take for granted are moments we can never take back and enjoy again. It was this time last year that I was meeting with B to do her maternity session…and the shock I was getting the next day when I heard the news that she had delivered miss p! I have enjoyed our meetings throughout the year and felt a little sad when I watched miss p leave this time…this session marked the end of our year of milestones together. It has been fun to watch her grow and change so much. Happy Birthday miss p!

Does it ever feel good to be home! I took a little trip down to Salt Lake City last week and I could sure get used to living down there. I was ooing and awing as we drove past all the old buildings and parks it was amazing. I kept saying to E…look at the texture of that… can you pictures this….. I think he was getting pretty tired of me. I also got my first experience with Sushi….can’t say I will be going back for that anytime soon….. At least the company was good! Anyways here is a little taste of what I have been working on latly.

Before I left I had the privilege to photograph this little guy. Baby K, I was sceptical about this since he was already 4 weeks old and by this time newborns tend to have a mind of there own….But K was perfect I couldn’t have asked for anything else! I can’t wait to do his 3 month session now!

Sometimes you come across someone so cute that you can’t help but say out loud what is crossing your mind. I guarantee this little guy and his unique smile are going to get some sort of a verbal reaction out of you…He is just so cute!

And what about his little sister…she has the most incredible eyes, they are so big and sparkly!

I couldn’t resist putting this one up either…love mom’s shoes!
