Become a Confident, Creative Photographer
The first week of the workshop focuses on developing your creativity, your sense of styling, your knowledge about posing, and shooting with natural light. You will see your world in a whole new way. Developing as the course proceeds, you will walk away with confidence in your photography skills.
Learn the Secrets to Beautiful Portraits and Still life
Throughout the class I will teach what I love, which is shooting portraits and still life. The still life portion of the class will help photographers who own an Etsy shop or a blog or if you plan to sell fine arts and wish to present your products in the most beautiful way. Light and emotions are where I shine and I will pass my knowledge onto you. Captivate your customers with images that speak to them.
If you are a mother you will appreciate the portrait section of the class. Being “head memory maker” in your home does not mean that you have to have boring snapshots. Put meaning and emotion into your memories.
Need a little help with editing?
You will learn the basic Photoshop workflow and what you should do with all your pictures. Also included are a few tips and tricks to help your images stand out from the crowd.
Go from Auto to Manual
Lessons will include shooting fundamentals such as exposure, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and white balance. Walking you through how your camera works and what makes your images look the way they do, I will help you take that camera off of auto and onto manual…without fear or frustration!

What others are saying
I opened the “week one” lesson with great anticipation. I was expecting to find “Intro to f-stops” or “A Lesson on Light” but the lesson was “Define Yourself” ??
I thought to myself,”What does this have to do with anything?”
As I worked through the assignments, I learned so much about who I am and that I have a style. I am fifty years old and am just discovering that I HAVE A STYLE. I have bought a pile of clothes that I love, bags of jewelery that I love. I now have an Etsy account. I ordered a cuff for a hundred and thirty bucks because it spoke to me. (giddy laugh) My husband calls me a gypsy ’cause I jingle. I got a hair cut. Dressing me….taking care of me. I made a doctor appointment, a dentist appointment, started a fitness program and started writing again. I am worth taking care of. I have value.
I have Emerged and by the way, I am also a better photographer. ~ JB
