love…sweet love | Wedding Photographers | Photos by Nicole & Alleisha

I have been waiting for a bride and groom to step outside of the traditional box that we place ourselves in when we get married. J&M did just that. And although we joked about feeling backwards all day I loved having the pictures before the ceremony. It was so nice to have everyone at ease and enjoying the day. We had so much fun laughing with everyone and getting to know J&M’s family and friends.

Congratulations Jeff and Mandy and thank you so much for letting us share in your special day. You have touched our hearts.

Sometimes you can’t help being love sick | Macklin, Sk. Wedding Photographers | Photos by Nicole & Alleisha

I love weddings…some more than others. Not because of anything other than the love in the air. I am a hopeless romantic and I am easily drawn into the emotions of the day…so much so that I have kleenex in my camera bag. Yes I admit it…I cry behind my camera.

As we took pictures of the girls getting ready Alleisha and I agreed it would be a fun day. We progressed to the church and everything was running smoothly…but as I took images of Tara and her step dad I felt a stirring in my heart. I knew I was in for it! Sometimes you cannot help but notice as people wear their emotions so clearly on their face. Tara and Warren are so in love. It is beautiful to watch two people who share that! And a person cannot help but to be absolutely heart sick for that kind of love!

Congratulations Warren and Tara and thank you so much for letting us share in your special day. You have touched our hearts.

J&S Married! | Wainwright Wedding Photography | Photos by Nicole

I love outdoor weddings…and when I pulled into J’s yard I knew that this was going to be one pretty wedding. The yard was beautiful! There were so many flowers …everywhere…and as a person who loves to work in the yard I could appreciate all the work that went into making things so beautiful and so special.

Normally people are shy in front of the camera but not these two! Let me tell you, I think they could have easily forgotten I was there…they are so in love! {sigh…they made me feel giddy!}

Congratulations J&S!

Sigh…I love this one!

The Turner Gang showed up…I think they cleaned up nicely! They were even well behaved!

Thank you Dallas and Jamie for letting us be a part of your special day!  Congratulations!

Finding myself…

I know that I am not going to be the only photographer in Alberta writing this today. Change is coming and I am excited to be apart of  it! I have spent the most wonderful time in Edmonton getting to know Jen and Steve Bebb. Jen and Steve are photographers who are outstanding in their field. Their willingness to share their wealth of knowledge is revolutionary. I  desperately  wanted to go to the Bebbinar two years ago. Unfortunately the timing was not right for me. Since then I have grown with who I am as a photographer and as a person.

There are ups and downs that we all go through that make us who we are and to be honest I thought I knew who I was as a person but I really felt I struggled with who I am as a photographer. I had heard wonderful things about  Jen and Steve  and their ability to help you find any answers you are looking for within yourself.  That is an understatement! I drove home from the city last night my head a whirlwind of thoughts. I am so glad I was not able to go the first time I tried. I was in no way ready…but I was this week. I now know more about myself and the direction I want to go as a photographer. I look forward to working on the goals Jen encouraged us to set for ourselves. I have been hard at work this morning and I am ready to cross the first one off my list…and very excited about doing it!

I want to thank Jen and Steve for taking time away from their family to share with us. You have revolutionized my world.  You are Bebbmasters…and I am thrilled to say I am a Bebbling. I hope that one day I can shine a little light into the world in the way you do…as a person, a parent and a photographer.

{hugs} Nicole …aka…Rachel
