waiting on baby

It was a busy week last week but when Momma J called and told me how close to 40 weeks she was I felt like I didn’t want to waste a moment before we took her maternity images.

She came out to the studio and we visited away, talking about anything and everything. It wasn’t until close to the end of our time together that she told me about her photography background. I am honored that she chose me to capture this wonderful time in her life.

I am looking forward to meeting baby….and hoping for a speedy and safe delivery.

I think I’m in Love 2!! There is just something about Belly Sessions….the glowing mother and the tiny little bundle that will make its arrival in just a few weeks! I had a great time today with A & T …..even though it rained they were great sports we just grabbed a couple umbrellas and headed out! A was beautiful and just glowing….I had a really hard time deciding what images to share with you there were so many to choose from so here are a few of my favorites.

A couple of weeks ago I opened an email that made my jaw hit the floor. I was excited by what I read but also in disbelief. I had seen Mrs.T from across the parking lot not long before I received her email and I did not even notice that she was expecting…and here she is telling me she is 7 months already!

She has got to have the tiniest little belly I think I have ever seen. Pregnancy definitely looks good on her, she is stunning.

This one is my fav! It brings so much emotion out…the hopes and dreams we have for our children, even before they are born.

Thanks “L” for having such a willing spirit. I wish I could show you them ALL…

big sigh…I love my job!! I always enjoy my sessions. The people you meet and the stories they have to tell always amazes me but what really gets my attention are the sessions of the people I already know. It is not during the session so much but it is after while I am editing…when you look at someones face you can’t help but think about that person and their relationship with you. As I was editing these pictures it got me to thinking of when I was quite a bit younger. It was an annual thing for B’s mom and my mom to make chocolates. I can’t remember if the chocolates where any good…they probably were, I just remember playing in the basement with our brothers. I think hide and seek was a favorite.

We have come a long ways since then. My brother and his wife are due the same time B and A are. It always is a wonder how life comes full circle. I wonder if in 20 years any of our children will be thinking something similar?

B , you are beautiful inside and out…I can’t wait to meet your little bump!

Wow…we are having the best weather ever here! I love the fall. It is my favorite season and this year it seems like September has been our best month for summer weather. I have had a whirlwind of family sessions in the last week and I was looking forward to this maternity session. I have had the pumpkin up my sleeve since December last year!

And take a good look at mom…she is due October 7! I can’t wait for our newborn session…teeny tiny babies are soooo sweet!

Some bellies are just cute and this happens to be one of them. I love how you can see how the baby is pushing on the one side…almost like an elbow or a knee is there! All the pictures from this session are adorable…it was hard to pick!

Oh and to Auntie ‘C’…we have a special picture for you but you will have to wait to see what it is!

Don’t you just love this! I thought it was so fitting when mom pulled this little guy out of her bag and told me “We are pig farmers”.

I am not to sure what they thought when I rambled on about how I had made oddles of snowmen the day before. All miniatures, I assured them…just for you. Hehe…

even if I am a day late…hope you enjoyed your day. For the rest of you I will tell you that it was so good to see this little family again…I haven’t seen them since the fall and boy oh boy do kids ever grow fast! Although I must say the one doing the most growing was mom…I just loved her perfectly round little belly. It is just “out there”!! Can’t wait to see you guys again in the next few weeks and meet the new little P-family member!
