• I have many journals that sit on the shelf at home. They chronicle many aspects of my life. I love to look through them, enjoying the things I have written or the pictures there in. It is my hope that as you look through these pages, that you too will enjoy the things placed so lovingly here.
It has been a journey that has seen me through many joys and a few heartaches. From the start of Crimson Chickadee and my growth as a person and as a photographer. From the realization that how many fans I have on my facebook page does not merit my worth, to the swelling in my heart as I hit publish to a post that I know will mean so much to the intended recipient.
I hope you join me often, with a good cup of coffee, and enjoy these pages as much as I do creating them.

    {hugs}

Party of 5 | Wainwright Family Photographer | Photos by Nicole

Wow…I have to tell you that these kids are all so sweet..and well behaved! Mom should be so proud!!
And I can’t believe how much the girls look like their mom…especially miss G…but it was when I was taking the boys pictures that I felt like I had gone back in time! I have seen that look way back when I was in high school…someone else had that same look on his face as he walked the halls of the BSS.
You have a beautiful family ‘S’. I am so happy that I got to spend some time with you and your kiddos. Enjoy!

Bad weather won’t dampen our spirits

It was a horrible weekend here in Wainwright. The visibility on the highway was very poor and when you combined it with the icy roads it made for treacherous driving conditions. We did brave the roads into town on Friday afternoon…and on the way in I wondered if I had lost my marbles. We made it in safe and sound and settled into our weekend at the trade fair.

To those that did come out we want to thank you for your support and to all the people who entered our draw and made a donation to the food bank for the laundry hampers. We were able to raise enough money to purchase 1/2 of the hampers that went out in 2009!

The lucky winner of the Bloom session was Dean Gau. I look forward to seeing some of the images Alleisha captures for you…I know they will be great!

To those of you who didn’t make it there is always next year…but until then here is a little peek at our booth.

Wainwright Trade Fair and the wainwright food bank

Spring seems to be here! Yay! I am so excited for the warm weather. But with the warm weather it can be so easy to forget about those less fortunate than us. Every year around Christmas we all get in the giving spirit….this last year I decided to try and carry that throughout my year. I tried to think of ways that I could be helpful. I had stopped by Violin lessons with LoganĀ  and it was during a conversation I had with Pastor Dan Marchuk that he told me something interesting…and it sparked a seed. Did you know that for all the food hampers that go out during the holiday season that “hampers” actually are purchased? It makes sense…but it never crossed my mind. I told him that day that Crimson Chickadee would like to help with the purchase of those hampers.

Wanna help?

Here’s how…

Stop by our booth next weekend at the Wainwright Trade Fair and purchase a ticket ( $2…the cost of one hamper ) on our prize basket. The basket is full of goodies I know you will enjoy!

What could be better than getting the chance to win something AND helping those less fortunate than you in the process?

Hope to see you there! Visit the Chamber for more info HERE.

And since I hate to waste a post without an image…two of my favorites from the Savvy Sisters weekend!
