• I have many journals that sit on the shelf at home. They chronicle many aspects of my life. I love to look through them, enjoying the things I have written or the pictures there in. It is my hope that as you look through these pages, that you too will enjoy the things placed so lovingly here.
It has been a journey that has seen me through many joys and a few heartaches. From the start of Crimson Chickadee and my growth as a person and as a photographer. From the realization that how many fans I have on my facebook page does not merit my worth, to the swelling in my heart as I hit publish to a post that I know will mean so much to the intended recipient.
I hope you join me often, with a good cup of coffee, and enjoy these pages as much as I do creating them.

The W Family | Mannville Family Photographer

Okay I’ll admit it…I like it inside when the air is chilly. Yes, I am a wimp. After a day of being outside shooting I was anxious to round up all my props, light a fire and cozy up for an evening of relaxation. I do however, have this crazy obsession with backing up my files as soon as I shoot them, so while my fire was  warming the air in the other room I settled in my office to load and backup all of my files from the day. As I was waiting I started browsing through the W family’s images. Up popped a screen to tell me my download had finished…I quickly dismissed it. I was so in love with the images I was looking at I was giddy. (any of my clients can verify that I do in fact let out a little excited EEK! when I like an image I see on the back of my camera!)

Momma W I wish I could show you more but unfortunately I can’t…so here are your sneak peeks…ones that as a mother tug at my heart strings. Enjoy!

Beautiful Family | Lloydminster Family Photographer

Some sessions are a pile of laughs…and this one was one of them. Little miss was so cute! I just wanted to smooch her lil cheeks…and I wouldn’t have minded at all if mom and dad would have left her here…but she clearly was the apple of their eye, I don’t think any amount of convincing would have had them driving away with an empty vehicle!
Thanks to all three of you for coming out on such a chilly day!

party of three | Lloydminster family photography

It has been such an amazing fall. The weather has been perfect! And it definitely was when Miss K and her family came out to the studio. It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of September and having 30+ weather.

Reality is lingering in the back of mind as I keep thinking that it is possible that in one month from now we could have had a snowfall…and how I will be longing for days like this once more!

Party of 3

Every time that I drive into Wainwright, I drive past a set of mailboxes, admire the lane way and strain to see the old house I know is nestled in the trees.  Last week I had the pleasure of driving in and meeting the wonderful family that lives there. As we made our way around the farm taking pictures there was lots of visiting but even more giggles. It was nice to finally meet the neighbors…it’s been long overdue!

Miss K & Miss P | Irma Family Photographer

It was a nice night for a drive as I made my way to Irma. I was enjoying myself so much I drove right by the farm….that’s what happens when I get singing along to a real good song on the radio!
The girls and I (and momma R) had fun as we made our way around the farm…and I must say…it smelt like roses!
Thanks ladies for the fun evening!
