One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is sneaking back to talk to the Groomsmen prior to the ceremony. They have such a unique type of nervous excitement…a little bit of electricity in the air. It was no different when I walked in and had my pre-ceremony visit with Mr.S and co. With the men was the ring bearer. He sat in his chair with his feet dangling, nervous as can be. I went over and knelt down in front of him, introducing myself and asking if I could straighten his tie out…we started chatting and I must say he is a character. I asked him how he was doing…his reply simply was cranky and cross! Trying to contain a chuckle I inquired as to why…he looked at me, placing his hands on his hips and said “I do NOT want to get married today!” I reassured him the Mr. S and Miss A were the only ones tying the knot and we settled into a real good chat. He got over his nerves and did an awesome job, so good that he even gave us the best impromptu dance display from the front of the church during the signing of the registry.
Mr.S and Miss A both looked amazing and it was a beautiful ceremony.
Thank you both for letting myself and Miss L be apart of your day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness…and the pitter patter of little feet!!
{hugs}
