Category Archives: animals I was out taking images today for some of the assignments I am giving the ladies for the Emerge Workshop. While I was out I decided to feed the horses. I stood there for a couple of minutes listening to them munch away and I thought to myself how I find the sound of them eating soothing. I sat down and snapped a few images of their muzzles. Hands down my favorite part of a horse. While I was there Cleveland decided to give Big Nik some love…I just kept snapping away. I don’t know what it is about this picture but I get it…it gets me. Maybe I am odd to like a picture of a ponies nostril (good thing his personal hygiene is in check!) but I could blow this up huge and hang it in my house.
 Hi there! I hope this blog post finds everyone in the middle of a wonderful day. It looks like we are finally getting some winter temperatures…it is chilly outside! I absentmindedly flipped the switch off to my stock water last night. As Dad was out thawing things out for me today I was thankful for all he does for me. I could tell the wind was cold as he stood huddled with his back to it. It made me so glad to be inside. I am so glad for a lot of things in my life. As you know we got a puppy from the Precious Pets Animal Rescue just before Christmas. She is adorable and the best puppy I think I have ever owned! I would love to take the rest of her litter home if I had the finances and the space to do so. She has been such a wonderful addition to our lives and I am thrilled that we could adopt her. There are lots of puppies however who are not as fortunate as our puppy. One of those puppies is named Luka. As you will see in the short video he is in desperate need of help. He requires surgery to amputate his broken leg. I bawled my eyes out after seeing this video. I am giving a little support to the Precious Pets Animal Rescue on behalf of Luka and I am asking that you do as well. The ladies that run the PPAR do so out of the goodness of their hearts. They currently have an outstanding vet bill, a kennel full of puppies and are in need of dog food. They need our support to help Luka and the rest of the animals in their care. Since they have just started their rescue society their charity organization papers are not yet completed. Any support you give will be out of the goodness of your heart as there will be no tax receipts issued from PPAR. You will however get a receipt from Crimson Chickadee Photography’s Paypal account showing that you supported them. Please give to Luka and the Precious Pets Animal Rescue. Even animals deserve the right to have some dignity and to be loved.
 Little girls the world over never need to worry about having a pony to love…and to have him love them back. He is here… right in my pasture… and he loves little girls…even ones that aren’t his person. (although Dolly will tell you differently!) His heart is pure. He always has a hug for any little princess who ventures out to love him.
  I never have my camera with me when Zip makes faces(which he does often!) It seems like every time I see him being silly I can never get out to his pen in time to catch one. Well today I finally did. In fact I caught a few silly faces…but this one made me chuckle. Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
