• I have many journals that sit on the shelf at home. They chronicle many aspects of my life. I love to look through them, enjoying the things I have written or the pictures there in. It is my hope that as you look through these pages, that you too will enjoy the things placed so lovingly here.
    It has been a journey that has seen me through many joys and a few heartaches. From the start of Crimson Chickadee and my growth as a person and as a photographer. From the realization that how many fans I have on my facebook page does not merit my worth, to the swelling in my heart as I hit publish to a post that I know will mean so much to the intended recipient.
    I hope you join me often, with a good cup of coffee, and enjoy these pages as much as I do creating them.

    {hugs}

last tribute to ol’ man winter {wainwright pet photographer} {photos by Alleisha}

I have been enjoying some time outside these past couple days getting my yard all cleaned up, doing a bit of gopher hunting with the help of S hes quite the little hunter and just enjoying the warmth of the sun. But I do find it kind of funny how in the fall when it get to +5 or +10everyone starts digging out there toques and mitts and complaining about how cold its getting…..but these past couple weeks I have been paying an extra bit of attention to everyone including my own dressing pattern! So lately when its been getting to +10 or +12 everyone is packing upthe mitts a toques and bringing out the shorts! Including me I’ve found myself on more than one occasion going to town with out a jacket and well maybe flip flops once……. Strange creatures we are!  Well I decided to embrace the last little bit of snow before summer. {fingers crossed} I took S out and was able to get a few shots in the white stuff …..well before he decided to take of and chase the cats! Hope everyone is enjoying the first couple days of SPRING! Yay

Oh momma…{Wainwright Maternity Photographer} {Photos by Nicole}

A couple of weeks ago I opened an email that made my jaw hit the floor. I was excited by what I read but also in disbelief. I had seen Mrs.T from across the parking lot not long before I received her email and I did not even notice that she was expecting…and here she is telling me she is 7 months already!

She has got to have the tiniest little belly I think I have ever seen. Pregnancy definitely looks good on her, she is stunning.

This one is my fav! It brings so much emotion out…the hopes and dreams we have for our children, even before they are born.

Thanks “L” for having such a willing spirit. I wish I could show you them ALL…

beautiful day{part 2} | photos by nicole

As promised here is the second half of Miss M’s session.

Sometimes as photographers we get inspiration from other photographers. When we do I think it is important to give credit where credit is due. Last year at this time Richard and Amy did a shoot that I just loved. I took my inspiration from them for these pictures. Enjoy!

Dolly’s Pancakes

Dolly is such a girly girl…something I try to be but I would rather wear my hair in a ponytail, have on a comfortable pair of jeans and an over sized hoody. She loves pink and purple, is always in my make-up, and could wear a princess dress all day. She enjoys cooking already…and is the first in the kitchen when it is time to get meals ready.

She is also terribly smitten with her brothers. She adores them. This morning when raceboy82 asked for breakfast she piped up that she wanted to make. It is a good thing the boys adore hear equally as much. You know that commercial where the big burly men are wearing boas and princess crowns and having tea and popcorn with the little girl?? Well that was us this morning with Dolly’s pancakes. I promised the boys I would not embarrass them…but here is Dolly and her pink and purple pancake party.

Setting her table, everything is pink and purple. Even her juice!

Her chocolate chip cupcake pancakes…they are soooo good and the kids love them!

Waiting for her “guests” to arrive. She sure has crazy hair going on here!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. It sure is beautiful outside. I think we will go for a drive and get an ice cream cone later today.
