• I have many journals that sit on the shelf at home. They chronicle many aspects of my life. I love to look through them, enjoying the things I have written or the pictures there in. It is my hope that as you look through these pages, that you too will enjoy the things placed so lovingly here.
    It has been a journey that has seen me through many joys and a few heartaches. From the start of Crimson Chickadee and my growth as a person and as a photographer. From the realization that how many fans I have on my facebook page does not merit my worth, to the swelling in my heart as I hit publish to a post that I know will mean so much to the intended recipient.
    I hope you join me often, with a good cup of coffee, and enjoy these pages as much as I do creating them.

    {hugs}

Little cutie pies|wainwright family photographer

I love it when families get together for a group photo.  We have one of our whole family from when I was about 12.  Everytime I look at it I have a real good laugh.  We all thought we looked so smart…but now that tight perm that the WHOLE family had is so silly looking!  Here are some memories for these little munchkins that won’t be so silly when they are older…

Miss A| wainwright graduation photographer

Photos by Nicole

When I loaded Miss A’s pictures onto my computer Dolly was sitting on my lap.  As soon as the images started popping up she started to say very loudly…LOOK IT! LOOK IT!   She would then take her hands and cover her mouth, clap, gasp, cover her mouth, and gasp again…over and over.  She adores Miss A…and who wouldn’t!!!  She is so sweet!  In fact she is so much so that as I was wrestling with the dog for this next picture she sat very politely, not laughing in hysterics like I would have been.  When I say wrestling I mean it.  Poor Sebastian is such a boy…he was scared of that big poofy dress and he did not want to go near it!  I had to ‘place’ him and then move Miss A and her chair next to him, all without him running from Miss A.  It all ended when she started to pet him.  He was smitten…for awhile…until he realized he was next to the dress.  Then he took off for the kennel.  Who ever said big dogs were tough???

You can see why Dolly was so taken with the picture.  Definatley worth a gasp and a clap.

a breathe of fresh air

I have been sitting at the computer for most of the afternoon editing pictures.  I needed to take a break, have a cup of joe and get some fresh air.  As I headed out the door to sit on the step I smelt that wonderful freshness in the air that comes after the rain.  I thought to myself…I wish I could bottle that smell!   It gives a person a refreshed feeling we wished could last forever!  Well I can’t bottle it but I did give myself a challenge.  My goal is to evoke that fresh smell in your mind with my pictures.  I gave myself 5 minutes to take 6 pictures.  The squirrel I took after…she hangs out there all day “guarding” the bird feeder.  I had to share her with you.

Well it is back to editing for me…before miss A wakes up and my work day is done!
