I am so excited…I have had an idea in my head that I wanted to do for a long time. I wanted to create a blog for senior girls. I know technically we don’t have seniors in Alberta but it sounds so much better than grads…so I am going with seniors! I have had the site just about ready for a couple of weeks…I put the finishing touches on it and it is ready to go. YAY! So deep breath for Nicole….

Check out these stunning young ladies…they are beautiful inside and out. We spent the better part of the day together on Friday. Although it was still a little on the cold side we got some amazing pictures. Khrome Esthetics did such a good job on their makeup! You should really stop by the salon and take a look at the new mineral makeup line that Sherol is carrying. I bought some and I love it sooo much! I will definitely be getting more!
Sometimes it is a constant strain on my heart being a mom. The more hurt my children go through the softer I seem to get. I am REALLY soft today. Raceboy82 ended up with the same injury as his brother did a few months ago. You may remember my post about him being hurt in a hockey game. It felt odd when it was the same injury and the nurse that greeted the ambulance asked if it was deja vu. He is okay and went back to school yesterday. I never got anything accomplished and I was going to get a lot of work done today, really hustle like a crazy woman…but Dolly seems to have picked something up. She has clung to my side without any sign of letting up. She is napping on the couch now but from the sounds of things I don’t think it will last long. She fell asleep on my lap and as she did she kept saying to herself “nigh night papa”. (I think she misses papa and nama, they are gone to see my brother in Montreal.) For some reason those three little words were like a vice on my heart…we are on the countdown to the big “2″… exactly three weeks left. I don’t want it to come, it is in my mind the final step before she is not a ‘baby’ anymore. I can already see the change starting. She will not let anyone feed her, she has to do it on her own. She is out of the highchair, sleeps in a big bed, I even bought pullups instead of diapers the other day.
ahh… I think I will log off and go snuggle with her…it is so soon before they don’t want that anymore:(

Friday was the first day of spring even though this weekend has totally proved that its not quite here yet……But Miss.F and I had a fun time Welcoming the nice weather that is sure to be coming soon!!! I had a really really hard time choosing what pictures to post so here are three of my favorites.
It is time for hockey playoffs and provincials here in Alberta and if you know me I am not a hockey mom…I will do anything to avoid the hockey rink! Don’t get me wrong…I love watching my kids but I would much rather be at the racetrack than the rink. It makes sense…hockey = minus 20 weather and the racetrack = plus 20 weather. I also never take my camera with me. I always feel I will leave the action shots to the sports photographers. Last night I packed it up and took it to the opening ceremonies and the game that followed for the pee wee D provincials. (provincials….that means a WHOLE weekend at the rink!!) This game is actually game 2 for my kids, they played their first game in the morning.
As we were driving home raceboy83 was looking through the pictures and we got to laughing and discussing the evening. Then he gets quiet and scrolls through them again.
“Mom” he says “you sure do tell a story with your pictures…I don’t think you can help it. Do you know you do it?”
I shrugged and told him it is just part of my personality and it is what makes me the type of photographer that I am. I forgot about it until this morning when I saw the camera sitting by the door. I picked it up and looked at the pictures. There was a very clear story there and I am going to share it with you…

Here is where the real story starts…enter #14…raceboy83’s cousin Miss C. They are like bread and butter. If there is trouble you will find the two of them behind the scenes instigating it all and coming out smelling like roses…usually…but not tonight! She is also on her way to the penalty box.

Oh they make me laugh! You can tell by the smirk on Miss C’s face that she has something really smart she wants to say…I can only imagine! They are both actually good little hockey players. For the first game raceboy83 won the mvp for his team and for the second game Miss C won it…here she is getting her award…
We are off to the rink for day…I need to get some pictures of raceboy82!
