Sometimes you come across someone so cute that you can’t help but say out loud what is crossing your mind. I guarantee this little guy and his unique smile are going to get some sort of a verbal reaction out of you…He is just so cute!

And what about his little sister…she has the most incredible eyes, they are so big and sparkly!

I couldn’t resist putting this one up either…love mom’s shoes!

Jennifer - So very sweet!

Miss a turns one | photos by nicole | wainwright childrens photographer

I cannot believe that miss a is getting to be a toddler and not a baby anymore. Her newborn pictures can be found here.

She was so full of laughter and smiles. I found myself chucking steady at her antics.

I said these would be up by 8 and it is 8:08 so I will stop talking and get to posting some of the snug-able, hug-able, and lovable miss a.

big sigh…I love my job!! I always enjoy my sessions. The people you meet and the stories they have to tell always amazes me but what really gets my attention are the sessions of the people I already know. It is not during the session so much but it is after while I am editing…when you look at someones face you can’t help but think about that person and their relationship with you. As I was editing these pictures it got me to thinking of when I was quite a bit younger. It was an annual thing for B’s mom and my mom to make chocolates. I can’t remember if the chocolates where any good…they probably were, I just remember playing in the basement with our brothers. I think hide and seek was a favorite.

We have come a long ways since then. My brother and his wife are due the same time B and A are. It always is a wonder how life comes full circle. I wonder if in 20 years any of our children will be thinking something similar?

B , you are beautiful inside and out…I can’t wait to meet your little bump!

Jennifer - I love the images in the snow. So pretty! Great job!

Cheryl - Oh Miss B!! You look spectacular. I can't wait to meet your little bundle.

hitting the road

I laughed most of the way into town yesterday. The other occupants of my vehicle did not find my laughter so amusing. You see I had the pea pod stuffed as full as I could get it. I even had to have the boys get into their seats and then piled stuff around their feet. They were more than happy to get out when I got to town. It was one of those moments you want to file away into the category of “when you need a good laugh please remember when”! After dropping them off I headed on to pick up Alleisha….and we packed more stuff in where the boys once sat. From there we made our way to the Elegant Event Rentals Bridal Showcase.

We enjoyed meeting all the brides. It was so fun to get to hear about their weddings and the plans they had.  The fashion show was a hit. And everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves!  We especially liked sitting a table away from the catering table. Yes, we admit it, we were more than willing to try the wonderful food she had prepared…And man was it good…I could have eaten it all!!  Don’t worry I will list all the  vendors on the wedding website(It will be live in a couple of weeks). If you are interested in names sooner message me and I will send you what you need.

I still need to unpack the pea pod so I best get a movin…

for those of you who did not make it out to the show here is a glimpse of our table….

Absolutely adorable little miss a {photos by nicole} wainwright newborn photographer

From the moment I peaked over the edge of the bassinet and saw miss a sleeping soundly I knew this was one precious little girl. She was so good! BUT I must say I have never met a newborn as opposed to be wrapped up nice and snug as she was. Every time we would try and wrap her she would protest like you wouldn’t believe…she did however love to snuggle and if I wouldn’t have heard mom mention the”four” in the morning word I think I would have packed her up and taken her home! I am so very thankful I was given the opportunity to spend some time with her and her mommy!

I know they technically aren’t NEW but they are when it has your custom photo from Crimson Chickadee Photography! Now I can safely put my phone down on the table and know which one is mine.  I think I will get one for the boys ipods to stick in their easter baskets…ohh won’t they think that is great!

Finally….

After having the website down for most of the week I am so happy to be back online!  It felt like a part of me was missing.  The good thing is it forced me to work on my marketing for the year. That being said Alleisha and I have a very busy next couple of months and we are so excited with what we have in store for Crimson Chickadee Photography! If you see us bustling around make sure you hang on to your hat as we pass by! The first of our busy little expeditions takes place this weekend.  If this Sweet Pair is an indication I guess it would involve LOVE! Don’t worry I will share  more with you before the week is over…until next time…I have a pile of emails to catch up on! <sigh>

If a picture is worth a thousand words

what would those words be?

would they be full of happiness

or sorrow

words of hope

or just perhaps words

but maybe they would be words of a lifetime full of dreams and aspirations

of wanting to be the greatest

words of a childhood full of joy

and a true love waiting to be found

what are your words?

Did someone say ‘PARTY’?

I think they did! There is going to be something special happening around here this weekend!  It’s a girls only event and it’s going to be FUN! I can’t wait to share more with you…till then here is a little piece of our girly world.

spanking the baby…

It has become a tradition in my family to pass ’spanking the baby’ on to the youngest generation. To be honest with you I think the ’spanking baby’ thing totally skipped me…but two of my kids love it.

What is ’spanking the baby’?  It is kneading  bread dough…you didn’t think we actually spanked a baby did you??

I can remember when I was around 4, I spent a lot of time on the farm with my grandparents. I loved it there. Grandma was such a good farm wife…and a very hard worker. She would get up early to make bread…and when it was time for kneading the dough I would be called into the kitchen. There would be a chair waiting for me, and a ‘cup of coffee’. I would get my turn at ’spanking the baby’. Although I did not enjoy the whole cooking aspect of it I am so happy to have those memories of grandma and I. My mom has continued on faithfully with ’spanking the baby’. Logan loves to cook and Ainsley has a radar that goes off when anyone enters the kitchen. They have both spent lots of time ’spanking the baby’ with grandma.

Ainsley came to me this morning and asked me if she could ‘make’ and ’spank the baby’. I desperately tried to think of something we could cook….that involved baby spanking. An all time classic came to mind. PLAYDOUGH! Koolaid playdough to be exact.  I will post the recipe at the bottom of the post for those of you who want to try your hand at ’spanking the baby’!

KoolAid Playdough

3 cups flour
1/2 cups salt
2 Koolaide packages
2 cups boiling water
Mix dry ingredients together. Add boiling water. Knead on floured board.
Can add flour  until desired consistency.
This playdough will last for a long time when stored correctly.
