It is not uncommon for Alleisha and I to have people comment on our cameras. The thing we hear the most is ” Wow! That is a big camera! It must take good pictures! ”
And while there is no denying that a good picture does come out of the camera it is not the camera that produces the finished product.
Obviously that camera needs someone holding it with the knowledge to know how to use it and to push it to its limits. The photographer must have a vision for what the finished image will look like. Once that image is captured on the camera the work has only just begun. I have wanted to share a before and after for some time but I did not feel I could use a client, even if they were willing, for this. So I am going to pick on myself. Here is an image of yours truly that Alleisha took. Straight out of the camera. It has had no post processing.
Looks pretty good…but I want it perfect. The arm I am leaning on is my camera holding arm and those muscles look a little un-natural. Also you can see that because I am sitting my tummy is not looking very flattering. I will fix that a little so it is not so noticeable.
Also since this is more of an artistic image I will play with the mood a little, bringing out the cold of the concrete. By doing so it will make your eye believe that my skin is softer and whiter.
